E-invoicing

An electronic invoice is an invoice issued, sent and stored in a structured electronic format (such as Facturae or the European format), with the same legal validity as a paper one. In Spain it is mandatory with public administrations and is being extended to transactions between companies.

How is an electronic invoice different from a PDF?

Unlike a PDF, a structured electronic invoice can be read by a program: the recipient records it without typing it and the issuer can track its status. Between companies, the obligation comes in Spain from the Crea y Crece law and its regulations, with dates set by annual turnover. Plan for it in your ERP.

Where it appears in W3ERP

In W3ERP, electronic invoices are issued and received directly from the sales, finance and production module, within the normal sales and purchasing workflow. The same module holds EDI, the SII and the tax module, so invoicing does not need any separate programs.
