Radio frequency (RF)
In logistics, radio frequency (RF) is the use of mobile terminals with barcode readers, connected by wifi to the warehouse management system, to record every receipt, put-away, picking or shipment at the time and in the place where it happens.
How does radio frequency work in the warehouse?
The operator scans the slot code and the goods code, and the system confirms or rejects the operation instantly, with no paper and no later typing. System stock matches physical stock and preparation errors are caught before the order is closed. After a short training, anyone in the warehouse can use the terminal.
Where it appears in W3ERP
W3ERP includes radio frequency in its warehouse management module. The mobile terminals work directly on the management data: a shipment confirmed at the dock updates stock, the delivery note and invoicing with no intermediate steps. USER Informática works with Zebra, the manufacturer of terminals and label printers.
